THE OPPORTUNITY

Coffee can be one of the more profitable items sold in convenience stores that brings customers in-store. A major convenience store retailer wanted to replace their old coffee equipment with all new innovative equipment to increase sales while also reducing waste and labor costs. They needed help in solving how to efficiently install these new coffee machines across different store layouts and designs.

THE SOLUTION

The customer called upon the experts at Performance. Performance hit the road logging thousands of miles surveying the store plan layouts of over 400 store locations across the country. They came up with detailed plans for each store to submit and review with the customer. Performance worked closely and partnered with local plumbers, electricians and contractors to install these new coffee machines with minimal impact to store operations.

PAYOFF

By partnering with the stores, Performance was able to complete the retrofit and install process for all locations in approx. 18 months. This gave each store a new competitive advantage by offering a new coffee brewing system that delivered piping hot fresh coffee to consumers. Each retrofitted store saw an average ROI in just three (3) months with an increase in coffee sales, reduced waste and labor expense.
